The story of this site

The Pohutukawa Coast Living Website was created in 2020. Thanks to Nicci Hales who helped me put all the information together, we created a single place to promote many activities and events all year round.

Questions like:

  • what sports groups are available for our kids,
  • are there any social gatherings for retirees,
  • are there any local hairdressers, and more.

should hopefully be easily answered by visiting this information source.

If you have an event, activity, fundraiser or service you would like listed please contact me with all the details so I can share it with the community.

I have been running the website on my own since end of 2020, but as I left Beachlands to fulfill my family’s dreams of sailing the oceans, I got behind with the updating of the website.

If there is anyone interested in helping, please get in touch. It will be much appreciated. I have also setup a Give a Little page for anyone who wants to contribute towards the costs associated with running the website.

Karl and I have also started offering Sailing vacation opportunities on board our catamaran. We would love you to join us and our three boys for an experience-based, memorable holiday.
